Dear Friends and Family,
In 2016 I challenged myself to do something I once thought impossible; I committed to the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer. I trained hard but due to injuries I knew that the whole 39 miles would be impossible. Resetting my goals were in order. The new goal was 13.1 miles each day or a full marathon over 2 days. Guess what, I met my goal!! Physically the hardest thing I have ever done. However, nowhere near as hard as the challenges breast cancer patients and their families face each day. I am walking the Avon 39 again this year and challenging myself to walk further than last year. Training has already begun.
My walk is for Lise, Diane, Mona, Joan, Cheryl, Aunt Betty and Aunt Ruth. Women I knew and loved and who lost their fight with breast cancer. I also want to walk for all the women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Raising funds will help them in this battle. I hope you’ll join and support me in the fight.
I’m walking with thousands of other 39ers. We’re banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost. We see a world without breast cancer for our daughters and nieces. AVON 39 is a force of change that can’t be stopped. By supporting me with a donation, you’re part of it.
I have agreed to raise a minimum of $1800 to end breast cancer. Please donate on behalf of my fundraising efforts for the 2017 Boston Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer. You can make a donation right here on my webpage by clicking the "Donate Now" button to the right. If you prefer to write a check, click the “Donate By Mail” button and follow the instructions on the form.
Although you may donate at any time, I hope you are able to donate before June 1, before I begin my Avon Walk in Boston.
Thank you for supporting my commitment.
Best regards!
Kay Perigo
